Option one: Simply open the valve to flush the filter.

Option two:
1. Turn the water off at the backflow device using the valve pictured.
2. open the vavlve on the filter to relieve the water pressure. 3. Unscrew the filter body (shown above) 4. Gently remove and scrub the filter element 5. Replace all parts, close valve and turn water on.
Be careful not to misplace or damage the rubber o-ring
