Step one: Run a zone of heads from the controller. While the system is running, shut the water off at the backflow device.
Step two: Loosen the filter ring. You may need to utilize a filter wrench. Step three: Remove the red filter element and rinse it off. You can use the faucet on the backflow device Step four: Replace the filter element, casing and ring. Be careful not to cross thread. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Step five: Slowly turn the water back on. Remember to turn off the zone that you left running.
